Guitar Doug Dunbar

Doug Dunbar has been playing guitar and studying music for over 20 years. He graduated from Grant MacEwan College with a Diploma in Music Performance in 1993. Since then he has been active in music composition, arranging, recording and teaching. Doug began teaching guitar, saxophone and bass guitar in 1997 in Stony Plain, AB. During his 12 years of teaching Doug has taught in a variety of settings: private instruction, group lessons, high school band, and college. In addition to teaching music, Doug has extensive experience in contemporary church worship as a worship leader.

Doug is currently performing with QuintEssential, a popular jazz quintet. They perform at various functions and have recorded two CD’s. He is also completing his Masters degree at ACTS (Trinity Western University) and teaching a variety of courses at Pacific Life Bible College in Surrey, BC.

 
     
 
Drums Alexander Klassen

Alexander Klassen has been performing professionally for many years as an in-demand live and studio drummer. This experience has allowed him to be comfortable in a variety of styles.

During his studies at Capilano University Alexander studied with many excellent Vancouver-based drummers including Blaine Wikjord, Dave Robbins and Graham Boyle. During his tenure with the vocal group NightCap he performed with many notable acts including legendary jazz saxophonist Jimmy Heath and Canadian vocalist/pianist Louise Rose, former vocalist for Duke Ellington.

After graduaing from Capilano University with a Bachelors of music in Jazz studies. Alexander toured with the Princess Cruises Show Band in Alaska and the South Pacific. Now, back in the Fraser Valley he has been teaching, performing with various artists as well as heading up several of his own musical projects. Alexander's jazz band has had the privilege to perform at the prestigious Vancouver Jazz Festival.
